same HU i have... love the bluetooth streaming and EQ adjustability.... have you figured out a way to get rid of the gap above the HU? i dont like that on mine... cant think of a clean way to do it that doesnt look ghetto... an aluminum piece that mounts to the bracket with electrical tape wrapped around it is the best think i could think of... but that might look cheap

Do you have a trim ring installed on yours? I remounted the hu so it's flush now but either way there's still going to be a gap either on top or bottom. With my scosche trim ring it looks pretty clean and doesn't bother me at all, I'd recommend it if you don't have one.

nah. i didnt get a trim ring.. i just installed with what came with it... i dont mind the non flush thing nearly as much as the gap.... do you have an issue with your radio antennae being lousy? i only get like 1 or 2 stations clear.. oem was much better... the adapter like just falls out... was thinking about putting a layer or 2 of foil in there then jamming the antennae in..... post a pic of yours with it flush. i wanna see how it looks

Not the best shots, just what I got on my phone right now. It was pretty dope when the Bluetooth auto synched to my iPhone after the first install, I wasn't even aware of it until then haha. My reception is fine I haven't had any problems with it so far..

damn... im surprised there was enough room left behind it to mount it back another 1/4".. my **** is TIGHT in there.... did you just put your own screw holes in the bracket just behind the existing ones? i think i might make mine flush now....ill have to get a picture of mine up.... the background is a g35 coupe in front of a graffiti wall... its like inception, a g35 within a g35. haha

yea.. its fully compatible with apple... with my galaxy, it syncs my contacts and i have all my songs on my phone on random and i can switch songs with it, but i cant bring up my music folder since its not apple... i can deal with it though... the only gripe i really have with it is that the contact list is slow to load and refresh, like when you do a search by letter.. but its not a big deal. everything else about it is great

Yeah I had to drill my own holes I'm pretty sure Wrathernaut has a write on how to do it. I'd go for it, it's a hella right fit lol but makes it look waaaay cleaner imo. Haha I was thinking about setting my background as that also! Lol yeah post your setup when you get the chance!

Nope. There's no aftermarket climate controls, which are tied to the radio.

You can add a second stereo anywhere you can find room for it and splice into the audio signal wires going to the factory stereo, or just do a complete audio system that's entirely separate from the factory wiring.

The second-gen cars have their own audio subforum:

I just used stuff that i had laying around, nothing fancy. I can post what i used if you want. I actually took it down because it wouldn't charge when the car was off so it would usually die overnight and it was too much of a hassle to put up every morning. It was nice to have when it was charged though.
