Speaker problem
Speaker problem
I've been noticing that my driver side speaker isn't playing when I use my tape or CD deck...however it plays just fine with the radio. Could this be a connection problem? Would it be to the speaker or into the actual stereo? I'm assuming it's not a problem with the speaker cause it really does play totally normal when I use the radio. I'd appreciate any advice.

I'm thinking it's a connection problem with the unit cause it doesn't make sense that my audio is fine when I play the radio.
hey guys the more you search the more answers you'll find... alot of guys have been just tapping the side of the radio to remedy that. basically it's a loose solder point inside the radio. if you still have warranty get it fixed for free, if not time for a new deck.
Is there a way that I can fix it myself??
One thing I forgot to mention that used to work for me is just slamming on the brakes. I guess it kind of moved something from the pressure and it would always work...but it doesn't anymore. Again my original thought was that it's a loose wire or something connecting to the speaker or the unit, but perhaps I just need to replace the unit itself.

So do you think I need a new one or there's maybe a wire or something that's the problem?
You will need a new radio. Do you have the Bose system, or the standard system? If its standard the only fix is replacing the radio. If it is Bose, it could actually be a problem at the amp or the stereo. Either way, in the bose system, you would have to replace the stereo and possibly bypass the bose amps.

Not yet...it's such a strange glitch. I'm going to either look for a used one in the marketplace or a buy a new radio. I have to listen to music when I drive.
