Anyone in here with a single din?

 

I have an alpine CDA-9885 in my car. I used a double din metra kit and have a pocket under the cd player. The only install issue i had was clearance with the flip down part of the head unit. Had to clear about an eighth of an inch off the top so the screen can flip down easily. I went with the double din because I had the alpine unit from my old car but plan on upgrading to a gps double din fancy pants unit in the future.

 

I have a Pioneer DEH-P077 in my V35 coupe. It was already installed when I got the car from Japan. There is a gap between the head unit and the pocket below it. There is also a small gap between the pocket and the bottom of the DIN opening. I will be changing to a double-din touchscreen in the near future.

yeah mzinfiniti20 is running with a single din with a equalizer....

 

I am thinking of going this route because I don't really need a DVD player or Navi unit...all the time. I could buy a single din for about $300 and a separate Navi unit for another $300 tops. The only thing that makes it very hard is having a touch screen to navigate through my iPod on a dual din head unit.

hands down this has to be the best single din out there.
