New Sony HU, wow, I didn't know these ****ty Bose speakers could sound this good.

Finally, I order the JDM DD conversion kit, and a new Sony HU....

The sound is great. Before the HU installed I was already thinking of getting a new amp and speakers, but not I am not so sure anymore. They sound good enough for me.

However, I would like to get more sound from the rear door speakers, anyone have any ideas?

Fade to the rear and turn up the volume?

Other than that, adding a four-channel amp to push more to each speaker is the best way to get more out of the speakers.

ya, the rate limiting factor in the Bose sound system is by far and away the headunit --

wow...interesting, I installed a no name brand headunit and the sound was horrible with the BOSE amp and speakers...then again its a no name brand.
But I just bought a new unit the Kenwood DNX9140 and will be getting this installed this weekend hopefully and the sound better be good.

Does your sony headunit have a built in amp? if so, how did you hook it up to the bose system?

usually with any stock system the head unit is the limiting factor

They put out next to nothing

An aftermarket HU will clear up the sound alot.

If you upgrade to just coax speakers and a new HU you will be blown away vs stock.

Get an amp and a decent set of component speakers and you will be set.
