How do I get it to do that? I don't think I have ever seen a receiver ID number.

i plan on getting the pa15-nis within the next few weeks, but i have a question first. is it possible to switch between using the ipod connection and the aux, or would i have to switch the switches on the unit itself? in other words, does having dip switch 1 set to on disable the ipod connection and only allow the aux to work?

USA SPEC PA15-NIS Install - ANTENNA displays w/ no music
I installed a PA15-NIS on my 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe M/T a week ago. I am having an issue where when I go into XM1 or XM2, it displays XM1 or XM2 for a couple of seconds and then displays ANTENNA. At this time the device is still playing music, but there is no audio coming from the car. If I select different channels the music will come back on and the display shows XM1 or XM2, but after a couple of seconds it will again switch back to ANTENNA. This happens when I plug in the AUX cable.

Anybody have any idea what's going on?

Google "nissan satellite radio error codes" you'll get a link to nTB04-119.pdf - the satellite diagnostic information service bulletin from Nissan.

It says if you've got ANTENNA showing up, it's a faulty antenna connection, so check all the connections first, including the ground for the PA15-NIS.

So for some reason I lost the sound on the right side.... FM radio works fine. Could it be the dip switches, or is it a bad connection to the wire in the back?

Sounds like a loose connection. If you can plug a small speaker into the audio signal wires at the harness at the back of the PA15, you can test to see if it's sending both channels. If it is, check the harnesses at both ends

Thanks brother, I will check on that. I am thinking it may also be the ground wire as I did not secure it too well originally.

As an update, it was a loose connection to the box. I must have pulled it when plugging in my iphone.

Good to know in case anyone loses sound to one side

I installed the PA15 NIS in my 2006 6MT today. I used the 10 pin connector and plugged in everything correctly, I grounded the wire to a metal screw on the radio. The problem is I'm not getting any communication between the radio and Ipod. I've gone through the 13 steps in the manual and still no communication (not even charging). Could it be defective? Am I missing a step? If anyone could guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Anyone have an issue where the slightest movement of the cable disconnects the charge from the phone and the music will play through the phone speakers or not play at all? It typically fixes itself after 20-30 seconds, but incredibly annoying that any kind of movement can cause an interruption.

Loose cable perhaps?
