^ as I mentioned before, I'm not sure why he was asking what your dip switches are set at, because I don't think any combination of settings allows what you're hoping for. IMO, if it were, USA-spec, would definitely have included in the manual as this would be a major feature.

Hey guys,

I just installed mine last weekend. It was working great and now all of a sudden, nothing. I get no sound at all. I'm not sure what could've happened. The only thing that changed is I realized when I put the center console back to gether that I did not plug those two power plugs back in ( one is for the cig lighter, and not sure what the other one is for). Anyway I took that off and plugged those back in, and now I'm getting no sound. I'm not sure if there is any correlation there or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My thought is that if you had power cables hanging loose it is possible you had a short and need to replace a fuse. Is there just no sound, or is it not powering up (fuse blown)?

I can change tracks (within the current playlist) from my steering wheel control and I can also see the iPod on my iPhone (I am not locked out of it). Don't remember what my DIP switches are set to. PA15-NIS here, so my unit is plugged into the back of the HU and I go to "CD" and "6" to do this. "5" locks me outta the iPod in my iPhone.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It just doesn't have sound. It does have power, and I can scroll through playlists and what not on the headunit. So the head unit is def communicating with the Ipod. I'm still not framiliar how to operate the Ipod with the headunit. It doesn't seem to function like they described in the manual. I am using the satelite mode and the manual says that that if you hit pre set 5 it will go to direct mode, but with mine you have to hit the pty cat button in order to get to direct mode. This unit is very confusing...

You had me all excited. I ran out to my car and tried "6", and all other options. Unfortunately, "6" does nothing for me. Hmm! I am guessing this is different on the various years and versions of ipod and iphone.

I am just running this with a 4th gen ipod nano on my 2004 coupe. Maybe it is just specific to my year and ipod.

Just ordered the PA15-NIS through eBay. Anybody think I can run RCA wires from the extra RCA port to an amp that I'm also installing at the same time? If not, I have a Scosche LOC that I can install. Thanks!

I got mine for around $125, then some bing, then some eBay bucks. Might not have USA Spec warranty, though.

Yea, Im sure the warranty is gone if you buy it off ebay. Unless its an authorized seller I guess.

Anybody have any ideas??? I pulled everything back apart last night to check all of the connections and everything is good. I tried resetting my Ipod and the USA Spec unit. I have power, but no sound... Has this happened to anyone else?

Update: After speaking with USA Spec tech support they said I will need to exchange the unit. So now I have to take it all back apart ship the unit back and wait for my replacement. I am kind of annoyed by the situation at this point and my confidence in the product is not that high. Hopefully the new one works out for me. I'd still love to know what made it stop working...
