Ok guys, took the head unit out again and just went over the wires...everything to me looks ok, so if I'm missing something, please do not hesitate to let me know. Not really sure how I connect the stock bose amp... or if I'm missing anything.

kinda hard to see some of those wires

but its color coded so it looks good

I really dont like the look of that ground, there is that wire lead grounded?

can you get a close up look of the taped wires toghter....well not to close, but enough so that we can see them individually

what do you have the ground connected to? I'd chop the end of the "ring" terminals and just solder it to the black on the harness

There is a black wire coming from the power connector which is soldered to the ground wire, then I soldered another wire to those two, which then is grounded to the chasis.

if you're going to do that. get rid of the connector and wrap them to the copper of the black wire. A bad ground is a very good reason for it to crap out

Thanks TroysG, I'll do that and give it another shot...now what about the two connections from the stock unit that are not plugged into anything? What do I do with them?

Edit: would they be the cassette plug-ins or something else?

I did what TroysG suggested and it worked for about a day and a half or so, any other ideas??? I'm kinda tempted to take the car to a shop to have it looked at. I went over the wires and everything matches perfectly-all color coded.

More clear pics:

Only wire left - pink!

Please help! I'm getting frustrated!

To me it looks like you are grouping the grounds together. I would ground the hu separately.

Do you guys think I should connect the stereo directly into the battery terminal with a ground wire to provide constant power supply? How did most of you connect the black wires from the wire harness adapters.
