Whose car has DVD player in Nav cubby?
While I was walking through the "sea of G's" we had at the Palisades meet on Saturday, I noticed a silver coupe that had what looked like a carbon fiber panel inside the nav cubby with a Pyle DVD player installed in it? Is this anybody's car? If so, I have some questions for you about your setup

Re: Whose car has DVD player in Nav cubby?
That was my car. I installed a Pyle PLDVD-120 and using Hayame 1.5mm carbon fiber sheet for the panel, and using a Alpine TME-M580 and a RAM mount where the armrest supposed to be. The DVD player had to be heavily modified in order to make in fit in the Navi cubby. PM me for pics. I don't know how to post them.

Re: Whose car has DVD player in Nav cubby?
you're car doesn't have navigation system right?
I have navi, so there is a navigation DVD drive in there already, but i did a little measuring, and I think both drives will fit side by side in there.
You mentioned that you had to mod the DVD player to make it fit... could you elaborate on what you had to do?

I don't have the navigation system. I don't think you can fit a DIN dvd player there cause there really isn't that much room.
I had to remove the cover of the dvd player and also cut the navi box in order to fit the player in. The posts on the dvd player which holds the cover also had to but cut because it just won't fit.

For some reason that last pic looks really photochopped. I have no idea why. Looks like a good clean install but just thought the last one was fake.

I think that is the illusion of the carbon fiber...I thought the same thing.
