Hey

I currently have the bose system in my 05 coupe w/ stock HU JL 500/1 amp and some 10inch JL sub in a random box.

I am about to pick up either 2 JL 10W6's or 2 JL 12W6's

I found some on ebay: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=g35...acat=0&bkBtn=1

or should i buy this one? http://www.tccustomz.com/inc/sdetail/1419

Also should I replace my head unit? or should i replace the bose speakers?

I am really looking for nice clean bass but also i would like to show off my subs if both of those are possible. I listen to mostly pop/hip-hop and rap

thanks!

well you last sentence says it all... go for the custom enclosure... but if you have a bit more $$ to spare.. see if you can have an enclosure built to your taste...

the tc customz enclosure looks great in the G and doesn't take up much trunk space. check out this thread. a guy on here put one in and says he loves it.

yeah I found some guy who is going to builf it for $225.

I am picking up 2 10JLW6's hope my 500/1 should be good enough.

Now after I install those subs is there anyway to improve the sound quality w/o upgrading the Headunit?

im not sure if i need to buy a JL 300/4 and new speakers or just get the infinity kappas.

thanks

Well all depends on how much bump you want.. the amp can definitely push the 2 10JLW6 subs with no problems..

now im not so familiar with the bose headunit...(how much amps the hu has to push each speaker) i would say .. install you subs.. see how the output is .. if the base is drowning the music.. then you can look into upgrading either your hu or speakers/ amp

The Bose amp has pretty much nothing to push for each speaker. Maybe like 10w RMS and 30w to the sub.

I believe it to be the weakest (but not by much) part of the Bose system.

^ see there you go ... now its up to you if you want to change the hu ( i guess to keep the stock look or not) or change everything... ( swap the hu and/or speakers and add the amp).. see your dealing with 500 watt amp to 2 10 subs.. going to be enuff but like i said all depends on how much bump you want....and if that bump will drown out the music to your likings..
