For those of you with the navbox installed, how to you add new mp3's? Do you unplugg the xbox, take home, sync, or do you have some other method?

I would think it would get old fast if I need to keep unplugging the whole box once a week...

BTW, is there a hot swapable harddrive solution?

Thanks

Heh, found this on newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817122003

So, does it mean I can take this back and forth between my pc and xbox? Would my pc see this as a second HD and be able to see the contents? In other words, can winxp see contents that have been store in a xbox HD of I were to plugg it into my pc?

THanks
From what I've read, the 05 G's use a rolling sync signal which the NAVBOX does not accomodate. This could be the case for other devices as well which would also make them incompatible.

I don't thnk Hotswapping a drive or even removable drives will work unless you have another modded XBOX with similar mods to accomodate the removable drive. PC's communicate with modded XBox's through FTP software. XBox harddrives are formatted differently than a PC harddrive. I do not think it will read it if you simply plug it in. But if you have another modded Xbox configured to accept a removable drive, then you can just run it off the modded box and FTP the data from your PC.

An option you might try is to use a wireless game adapter through a wireless network, but from what I hear, it's slow. I had too much trouble just trying to get my PC to see my XBox unless I ran a separate network card and a crossover cable using static IP settings so I haven't seen how slow/fast it is. You wil still need to turn the car on, but you can leave the XBox in place. If you install a power jack and a network port, you can probably make it fairly easy to plug the game adapter in only when you need it.

Rats, not the answer I was looking for... I guess I have to figure out another way... I wonder if htere is a way to fool the pc to communicate with an external HD via FTP while the drive is physically connected.. Time to do more research

You might want to ask these questions to people in the XBox-Scene.com forums. You're probably more likely to find a solution there than in here.
