If you got more time than tools and skills, come up for a drive to Savannah, I'll lend you a hand.Good luck!
Thank you so much! Sort of lacking in the tools and skill section. I might try a crack at it, but if I don't have the time, how much should installation be?

Do you know how much I'd expect to pay for a typical installer?

Also, it's usually Mtn Dew (throwback version preferred). You might also get slapped with a camera to video some portions that I feel could be covered a bit better than in my current videos.
If you're serious about it, PM me when you've got all the parts and have a weekend to do it.

I just checked an unboxing of that unit, you'll need the trim ring, but you only need the override if you're going to be watching videos while the unit is in motion. I highly recommend not doing so. It is flat-out illegal in most states to have any video that is not vehicle data or navigation visible to the driver. With navigation units, there's justification - having it capable of having a destination input by the passenger while the driver drives. With a video-only unit, there's nothing a passenger needs to do while you're driving that requires a bypass. If you're installing rear video monitors to entertain children or impress high-school kids in the rear seat, they'll show video while the vehicle is in motion without a bypass.
If anyone is looking for the JDM dash kit for the 03-04 sedan, I found a guy on eBay that has em for $280, plus $15 shipped.

Send him a message, I was able to get a black one, and I know he has the others.

I apologize if this question has already been addressed. I must have missed it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.
With factory Bluetooth, will using the Metra Axxess maintain its functionality?

Thanks so much for this thread!
My 2003 sedan, after 10 years finally started having the dreaded HVAC/radio issue where the controls no longer work. Needless to say, my 10 year old car is not worth dealer prices for service, even if I am the only owner and it cost $33K brand new, but I digress.
I have never done car audio before - so I went slow and took my time.
- JDM dash
- JVC headunit (~$180) with no touchscreen, plus all goodies in the sticky first post.
- routed the bluetooth mic to the left of the steering wheel, right of the vent over there.
- The best part is, it all works!
Added bonus, got all my CDs out of the OEM unit that ate them a few years ago.

With enough electrical engineering you could keep the factory bluetooth unit working, so technically yes, but realistically, no.
Since most aftermarket headunits these days have their own bluetooth, just accept that the factory bluetooth is gone and move on.
