Alright fellas 95% of the way done and I can't get the Bluetooth mic to work with my new stereo it keeps trying to connect to the old stereo Bluetooth. The old one is very raspy and sounds bad, what should I do to bypass or shut off the old Bluetooth and use the new one?

Face palm... Use the force Luke, the advanced search box Luke.

Can I just cut the two wires that are currently in the old unit and add them to mine from the aftermarket Pioneer Bluetooth receiver?

I tried swapping over the three wires on the Bluetooth box in the trunk and it doesn't work like that..? (RGY)

Sounds like you need to unplug the harness from the factory bluetooth as well, that'll prevent the phone from trying to connect to the old one.

The three wire swap is to keep the steering wheel controls working, not to disable the factory bluetooth.

The factory bluetooth mic is pretty poor, I wouldn't try and re-use it.

Does unplugging the harness also disable steering wheel controls? I unplugged it and the factory Bluetooth nor the steering wheel control systems worked. Also, followed the ASWC wiring recommendations by everyone else and the volume and channel up down switches work fine. Mode also.

I just want to run an aftermarket Bluetooth receiver mic, and am confused on your prior answer, other then cutting the RGY wires together being a bad idea.

If you do the bypass (splicing the RGY wires together), it won't disable steering wheel controls.

Oh good news then.

But maybe I am missing the obvious point, how do I take this dumb aftermarket Bluetooth <= (Reciever) microphone and make it work with my new Pioneer Appradio? I tried using the direct 2.5mm plugin to the mic port of my HU, but it fails to pick up any sound, only putting static. My iphone microphone works, but the Bluetooth connector does not. It worked through my Bluetooth OEM unit last night, but not the Bluetooth mic in today.

See what i am Getting at?

The ASWC seems to also be wired correctly and I will as pictures tonight of how the connections go together. Although after initial programming the light blinks Red instead of green, even though the steering wheel controls work :haha:

Tested other phones tonight, same issues, although unplugged the microphone from the 2.5 mm hole after testing regular microphone plugged into hole and person on the other end said the static decreased... Maybe I am having an issue with a bad mic.

Could be a bad mic, is it picking up ANY speech? what about voice commands through it? Could be a really poor handsfree protocol connection with the phone.

I really need to keep a sand style time clock on my possession. It was a bad mic, took a while to convince best buy of that when they said they wouldn't replace something that wasn't installed by their "professionals."

Edit: why bother with the video bypass when I could just get the Appradio extensions tweak from avic411... Goodbye bad navi.

I switched from an Eclipse DD to a Kenwood. My FM radio is getting very very poor reception. The Eclipse worked fine and the Kenwood worked fine in the car it came out of. I pulled it back out thinking the wire came out but it is in tight. Do they use different adapters?

Same adapter. Some radios just don't seem to work well with the antenna in our cars.

Is there anything that can be changed out? The radio is basically not existent it is so bad. I live 10 minutes from Harrisburg which is where most of the local radio stations are and I can't pick them up. I doubt that our antenna is much worse then the Jetta I took the Kenwood out of.

You may want to double-check that the antenna adapter is completely seated properly, otherwise you can just try a different radio to see if that's the problem.
