Kicker L7s?

Anyone got some pics of a 10 or 12 inch L7 in their G?

My uncle came over and said he had a 12" L7. We go out to listen to it, and he wasn't even close to 10% of the volume bar and it was almost louder then my old two 12" punches. He used to work for Kicker. He told me that his one 12 was equivalent to 2 normal round 15's. Which I could believe. He wouldn't turn it up more cause he said the mirror would come off and it was around 9 o clock and the old people next door wouldn't like it. So now I'm looking at L7's. Found a 10 inch for 200 with the factory box.

If it's in a properly ported box with sufficient power you can get a lot out of most subs.

Also, if you crank the gain on your amp and put the bass boost on, you'll get full volume regardless of what volume the headunit wants to put out.

I could easily see one done correctly making more than 2 wal-mart special 15's on a "2000w* AMP!!!", but no, a 12" L7 isn't that special.

* 2000w peak, 85w RMS

Not to rain on you Wrathernaut, but yes if you crank up the gain and boost you'll get more "Bang" but if you crank both up all the way, more than likely you'll get distortion, clipping out of your sub and the sub doesn't like this. You got to really find a medium when it comes to Gain + db boost. Audiofiles fill free to chime in

My point exactly. The position of the volume **** has no direct correlation to the amount or quality of the bass, so the fact that the l7 was quite loud is irrelevant.
