Changing heavy sub to light tube, what to get?

ok, i have decided that my Eclipse 12" aluminum sub is just too heavy. i hate driving with it in the trunk, so i figure I will get a sub that is much lighter. maybe a bass tube or something.

any suggestions guys? ill be running it off a 600 watt Xtant 2 channel amp.

try drag racing with a sub in the trunk, damn that thing is heavy. even the rear seats are heavy. im gonan take those out too.

Why not just take the woofer out before you drag?

I'm driving with 180 lbs of sand in my trunk for the next couple months of winter and bad weather...can't wait for the spring so I can take it out and the G will feel like it gained a huuuge power increase. It's sooo slow now but I know the sand is gonna keep me out of accidents and spinouts.. Save money now, Speed later.

My sub box with a JLW0. It will sound better and louder than a "tube" and weigh about 15lbs. Not to mention it will look factory.

Just a thought, 4080
