Yep, E-Mail Joshi at J's Garage... you do need the aluminum dash trim piece... you do not normally need the bracket. Tell Joshi about your car and he'll tell you specifically what parts you need.

The dash pocket is needed to fill the unused half of the Double Din opening if you only put a Single Din device in it.

I just bought an '06 G35 sedan. Has the dual climate controls. This sounds like a little risky with the posts about the lights doing funny stuff. Has anyone installed this kit and NOT had electrical issues (and had the kit in for more than 3-4 months)?

I would love to do this dash kit with my equipment, but I don't want to screw up something electrical in the process.

Hi Grider,

Your pics from earlier regarding the soldering of the resistor and light for the DUAL button are all corrupted. I'm getting mine installed soon and want to make sure I know what parts I need to solder onto the new board. Do you mind reposting those pics please?

Thanks

before and after. the resistor is 242, i ahve done more than a dozen installs and 100% of them work fine... no electrical problems whatsoever...

jusat make sure when u solder the LED on, the green dot is pointing in the same location as the other LED's, i think its bottom right...

Ok, I read thru the entire post, and I just want to make sure I'm right. All I need is the following:

Aluminum DD dash kit
AC Controller

That's it right? Everything will still work including the steering wheel controls? I plan to get an Eclipse AVN if that changes anything.

I have an '05 Coupe with Premium Package

I posted elsewhere regarding the steering wheel controls. I am under the impression that you are SOL on that issue unless there is a controller available to interface your aftermarket unit with those controls. I have not seen a reply to my inquiry about whether such products exist (there used to be some out there, but I don't know now).
