sup sup Kia,

glad to see you're still helping those in need. I feel so old now that people are trying to convert DD in the 06 models...lol

My G is garaged for the winter as I drive my Hemi Dodge Ram.

Email Yosh!taka Ikeda at J's Garage @ yosi@j-garage.com to get a double din conversion kit... that way you can put in any headunit you like without custom work to your dash

There is swi-ecl out now from PAC for eclipse units; it hardwires into the head unit.

There is also an updated release of the PAC SWI-ALP that interfaces directly (through the wired remote input) of not only the Alpine, but now also Kenwood & JVC units. No more trying to figure out where to locate & hide that damn remote IR ! Just make sure it is the SWI-ALP rev. 1.4.13 or higher.

Just FYI; Grubbs is backordered on the double din trim piece. So I ordered the a/c controller through Grubbs and the din piece from yosi@ j-garage

Kia has informed me that the conversion kit and a/c controller have arrived. If he wasn't too busy pimpin all his girls and partying all night; I could've had it installed already. j/k Next weekend he will be doing the install on my avn5500.

Hey guys,

This is an off topic post;

The guy who started this thead, Grider35c, and who has helped sooooo many of us with our double din installs...and many other things too....has been banned.

All of us who are friends with Kia aka Grider35c find this ban extremely unfair and we have a petition in the Socal Forum MISC to bring him back.

Please, if you guys could come by and put your name on the list it would greatly be appreciated to get this guy unbanned.

Here's the link...

Thanks a lot for your support guys!
