on a bit if a streak here- anyway, if you are on a streak yourself with an 06 and are swapping out the whole bose system as well as installing a functional bluetooth system (as opposed to the half baked stock bluetooth system)- you will need to retain the oem BT box in the trunk (mounted beneath the bose amp) in order to use your steering wheel controls with either the PAC-ALP or PAC-SWI-X. the schematics provided by PAC for the 06 g35 are incorrect in that the steering wheel control harness actually routes directly back to the oem BT control unit- then back to the under dash steering wheel harness where you will then make your connections as advised by PAC. removal of the oem BT controller will terminate the steering wheel controls (and corresponding signaling) in the trunk.

 

hi guys i am new to this thing and i see a lot of you guys have double din installed on your car. I am very new to the I.C.E thing and i need help! I drive a 06' 6MT coupe and recently i bought a Alpine IVA-D901. I read the last 4 pages of this thread and am still not so sure what exactly i need to get for my car in order to install the DVD... please help guys!

i am ordering the double din kit, but have no experience on working with cars. I usually get all my work done at tweeter, but am not sure if they will soldier on the dual climate button for me. Is there anyone around dc/md/va that can help or suggest a place that might help me.

Can someone verify exactly what to do with the light green parking brake wire. The maunal says to "connect it to the power supply side of the parking brake switch". I've looked through this thread and can't find any thing on the parking brake.
