Radio Upgrade

I have a 2005 G35 sedan with a stock radio and stock sound. My radio no longer takes CDs, not that I ever use CDs. What are people's thoughts on upgrading the sound in the G? Up for recommendations on new radios with connection to an IPhone an even new upgrades to other audio sound part.

Thank you

I recommend the search button, and the sticky by Wrathernaut in the radio section.

If you want apple carplay, the pioneer NEX units are good. If you just want siri handsfree, you've got a ton of options.

Upgrade it with a good double-din kit and the OEM dash cover. The Metra ones are ok if you're on a budget; I just don't like the way they look.

Are you planning to do this yourself or not? If you get a shop to do it, it will cost $500 +/- depending on who and what parts you get for the stereo deck. I was quoted $600 for the Metra kit and Double-Din stereo (i forget the brand, but probably Pioneer or Alpine etc).

You can save a lot of money doing it yourself if you have the patience and know-how.
