2006 Key Fob Programming Issues
So I am new to this forum but I just recently purchased a 2006 G35 Coupe Manual Diamond Graphite 98k miles with the intention of making it my fun little daily driver. Apart from very minor fixes it is in great condition and was serviced regularly. With that being said the key fobs I was given did not work for the car and after doing some research I tried to reprogram the keys with no luck. I replaced the batteries, and even the key fobs but cannot get it to register the key. I am positive that I am doing everything correctly and have tried too many times. I can get the car to enter programing mode but after turning the key into the ACC position and clicking any button on the fob it does nothing and I cannot get it to register this fob. If anyone has any advise I would be very grateful!!
You can only program the fob, the RFID chip in the key is programmed (the BMS is actually what you program) with either the dealership Consult-II/III tool or equivalent. Some locksmiths carry the tool to program the BMS. Call around to local reputable shops
Ok yes the fob you can program.
Close the door, make sure the windows are rolled up, lock the door from the door button.
Then you insert the key into the ignition switch six (or more) times within 10 seconds to enter programming mode (hazard lights will flash when it's ready).
Then you turn the key to ACC, press either the lock or unlock button on the fob ONLY ONCE.
If you have multiple fobs, manually unlock the door if it's locked, then press the door lock button again to lock it.
Press either the lock or unlock button on the OTHER fob. (rinse/repeat for any additional fobs).
When you have gone through each fob to be programmed, turn the key OFF and remove from the ignition. Press the door panel UNLOCK button, open door, close door. Now it's saved to the BCM.

Actually, which fob do you have? I posted directions for the regular fob, if you have the intelligent start system (keyless start) it's different and requires dealership programming.
Unfortunately, I do not have the intellikey and I have done that process many times with no success. Please refer back to my original post as I had clarified it there. I run through the steps and can get to the part where the flashers go off after 6 times but cannot get the car to register me clicking any button on the fob after turning it to the ACC position. Is there anything that would hinder the vehicle from detecting the fob? Nothing is aftermarket and I've used multiple fobs all with new batteries.

There is an antenna for the security system that may have failed, also possible the BCM is failing.
Might be worth a trip to Nissan for a diagnostic.

I am skipping this step altogether as I am just trying to get one fob to work first. However, after registering the first fob you should unlock then reck the doors using the door panel switches then program your second fob and repeat if needed.
