Finally hardwired my Valentine one

Finally hardwired my Valentine one
So yeah, finally got around to hardwiring my valentine one but there's one problem, it picks up my navi screen as a LASER hit :/
I built a box for it and mounted it on the rear dash behind the rear seats. It has a clear view to the front and back. I've disabled the LASER detection on it for now until I figure out what I want to do. Don't think it's that much of a problem because if I'm hit with laser, i figure it's game over anyways...
I'll post pics of the install next week when I get back from my trip

For those who want to reprogram their V1's here's the link.

It took me a while to find out how to disable the laser.
Pics will be posted when I get back. I'll try to do a guide for the install.

I considered putting it up by the mirror but then when i held it up there and looked at it, it didnt really "fit" with the look of the car so I came up with mounting it in the rear. I figure that if it's hiding behind the tint strip up top, it's LASER detection is getting reduced anyways and I dont mind disabling the LASER detection in order to mount it in the back. From the back of the car, it looks like a brake light sorta...
The box is an electronics project box that I cut windows into at the ends and replaced with acrylic (clearest of the "plastics" like lexan and stuff).
It sits on the back dash and is proped up with a piece of metal that I cut and bent. I have to paint this still even though it's hardly noticable unpainted.
So far, it's picked up all the "false alarms" when I left it on A mode for the drive to work this morning.
I ran RJ11 cord down the back of the seats and under the carpet along the center console to the front. It comes out at the rightside of the driver's foot well.
From there, it splits to power and remote display, which is mounted under the tach (I might take apart the dash and see if i can put it INSIDE with the gauge cluster, not sure yet). Right now I have it running to the cigarette adapter for power since I am leaving tonight and need it for the drive. I'll only have to replace the cigarett lighter with the other "hardwire" adapter and tap into the fuse box when I get back. Should take no more than an hour tops.
Also, I liked the idea of someone wiring the mute button to the end of the washer lever. I'll probably be adding that also.
