awesome setup! so, does SWIX allow you to use the steering wheel controls to control your new alpine stereo?

They put some sound deadening in the car so killed a lot of the vibrations. Only on certain songs will you hear any sort of rattle, but it is that often,,

Do you think they should have installed them in a different way?

Codeflux-- As far as the SWIX -- Yup, I can control the Alpine with the SW controls. It is great. In fact I had they reprogram the power button to be my mute button because I never turn the radio off.

The ony drawback is that you loose the "up and hold" option of the SW control. ( IE station preset change, CD change)..The swix just reads it as "up" (IE CD track up or next sation). That said, it beats loosing the controls all together

Thanks for the post Gary.

The amp is a 5 Channel Memphis Belle hybrid amp. It has a 4 x 55 watt AB class and a 400 watt D class built into it. Very cool amp, total wattage is over 600 watts. Since this car did not have the premium option (no 6x9s in the rear deck) we cut out holes for the subs to play thru the rear deck and off the glass for better SQ. Deadening was also added for vibration on the metal. The extra set of tweeters were also added for better imaging up front. The Alpine 9855 sounds phenominal in this car.

Yes it is, and thanks for the kind words. Can't wait to see your boat in here. Memphis just came out with some great new marine equipment.
