Use prewire with Navtraffic
Reading this thread has made me nuts for this HU. One question though. Black, did you use the factory prewire to connect to the pioneer nav unit or did you have to run some more wire to the trunk? Thanks.

I can tell you that even with a "mediocre" interface adapter, there is a significant difference.

This nav does not have any external components, its all built into one unit.

BlackonBlack,
I'm in the middle of my D1 install, and so far so good for my first time out. I've mocked everything up in the car and electrically I'm good. I'm stuck on two things though:
1. How did you get your head unit to line up just right in the opening? It's seems that I always tend to have the unit shifted up of down or too deep. Did you have to modify the factory bracket or the new double din trim piece at all?
2. Where did you tap into the speed sensor wire?
Thanks, it's been a long day but so far so good. I'm having fun, but ready to be done!
Thanks!

FWIW, I went through that too.
The only way is to drill new mouting holes.
I blocked into place in the bracket & marked one hole on each side.
I then did a dry fit again using the one new hole then marked & drilled the others.
Bit of a PITA but the final OEM look is worth it.
