Question What to tap for V1 power in 05 coupe?

Hey -

I tried to find this with searches - I promise! I'm hardwiring my V1 into my coupe, and need to know what wires to tap. It looks like the fuse box changed in the 05s (as per FLFIRE's post on 8/15/05), and the only other method I have heard is to tap the ignition wires. Is there a way to tell which wiring at the fuse box is switched 12V? I'd tap into the cig lighter, but I'm not removing the center console just to figure out which wires it connects to!

Thanks,
RDaneel

Buy a Littelfuse Mini Add-A-Circuit part number FHM200BP from Pep-Boys. Plugs directly into any circuit in your fuse box. Just pick a spare that turns on with the ignition. I believe I used the blank next to the "Power Circuit" - the fourth one closest to the front door from the fuse puller on the top.

I did the same thing as FLFIRE. Works great, no cutting.

The homelink wires behind your rearview mirror. Just grab some wire taps. Assuming you have the premium option on your car.

I actually did this not too long ago. i tapped it in the cigarette lighter fuse. its kinda tricky, but still works. i would tap into the rear view mirror, but i also had a conceal display that i mounted on top of my steering wheel column.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll probably go the fusebox route, as I have a non-premium equiped car (and proud of it!)... Should be a nice clean install, too, which is what I'm looking for after having the coil wire hanging in my interior for a couple months!
