oops!

yeah, i meant 10w3, not 10w2...

sound is awesome IMO. i didn't want something REALLY loud, going with one 10w3v2 was a really good idea for me.

i kept my stock headunit, and tapped into the rear speaker outputs from the bose amp.

i got this particular enclosure because i originally had planned on mounting my amp right next to the subwoofer, but it was a really tight fit, and i also didn't want to drill any more holes on the enclosure for the future owner...plus, i think it looks kinda nice, a little different i guess.

Nice choice of amp/sub/box. It looks good. Those Zenclosure boxes are growing on me. I have a 4080 sub box, but those Zenclosure boxes look great as well. Are you going to put a grill on the sub for protection? Post a pic of the installed amp. I'd like to see how and where you mounted it.

i kinda like the look of the sub without the grille so far...i don't really store anything in my trunk, so i might just leave it like that. i didn't take a picture of the installed amp because right now it's just sitting in the passenger side corner underneath the trunk mat...still trying to figure out where i'm going to mount it.

Nope. Box is too small. JL recommends 1.25cuft for the 10w7. That box is only .80cuft. Ideally, that box is the perfect size for 1 10w6 or 10w3.

I wonder if there's anyway to extract more airspace out of that trunk area.

you can use polyfill inside the box to make the sub see more space than the box actually is.

Polyfill helps a bit - up to 10% or so.

I'm really glad I saw your post as I want to do the same thing as you. Could you please help me out and explain to me how you tap the outputs for the rear speakers to provide a signal to the sub and what type of wires do I use, RCA's? Did you run the power cable down the passenger side of the car? Finally, is it possible to mount the amp onto the sub box, or is it really too tight? The reason I ask is that I have a leased car and don't want to drill any holes into the car. Thanks for your help
