How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
Yes, you can push the lock button inside the car twice and the windows will go up. But, only when the ignition is switched off. I myself have never accidently put them up though by pushing the lock button twice when the car was off. Come to think of it, I have never hit the lock button inside the car while it was off......

Daniel has ran into a problem and I am working with him to fix it. I think I have been able to replicate his problem and I think I have came up with a solution to it. Unfortuantly though, Daniel has decided to spend his Sunday at the beach and therefore won't be able to work on it until this evening. Now, we should team up and all give him a hard time for not showing the dedication needed for a project like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha

Mike,
Was your last car a Toyota??? Thats about the only car I can think of that has a real soft chirp on locking. You could easily hook up a buzzer like that, but, putting it inside the door will probably muffle it too much. I would look into getting a siren that has a 'soft chirp' feature. They are very quiet and would mount in your engine bay, making it easy to hear it. Oh, and you can hook the siren up to the (+) door lock actuator from the BCM, although I'm not sure how much current that output can supply I would imagine it would be enough for a quick, soft chirp!

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
Thanks for that tip on the lock actuator signal from the BCM. Last car: Audi A4. System from the factory lets out a little "meep" when you locked it. Not the same sound as the horn (it has an american car sound horn). The arming honk on the G is absolutely obnoxious.

ah yes the joys of living in the south. where the weather is nice and warm even through winter. and days on the beach occur every weekend, where you load the couch into the back of the truck and head out. the water is nice and warm and the sky is clear. you have nothing to do but sit on the couch and watch the women walk by and occasionly take a dip in the clear blue ocean. what a day. so hows that cold weather goin up there in ohio for you? wishin you were hear i bet. but back to the topic, we did come home early today cause one guy had to work at 4. so upon my arrival home i began to go to work desolidering the capacitor and solidering it back on the to voltage regulator, like kevin and i had discussed. after solidering i proceeded to reinstall it and it work without problem. now for that dedication bit i believe i was very dedicate on tryin to install and figure out why it wasnt workin for a couple hours, when it should have only taken 30 45 mins. while someone else went to a car show but i dont know who that was.
i am now working on resizing all the pictures that i took so i can post them. i should have them up by tomorrow.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
to remove the door panel you need to remove three screws. 2 of them are behind the silver part on the door handle.

Re: How about window roll-up via OEM remote ?
you will also need to remove the wire harness that connect to the door sill light. the wire harness that plugs into the window and lock controller will also need to be unpluged but i dont have a pic of that one
