Is there any way to paint the grill so it won't chip? I want to do this but not trying to have to repaint my grill every couple months.

I'm pretty sure you can't powdercoat plastic.

I don't have any pics atm....it looks fine from 3+ feet...but any closer and when the sun hits it, you can see a bunch of bumps. I forgot to sand the sandable primer haha....

I didn't sand the primer down either... as long as you do a good job sanding initially and go with light but many coats.. it should turn out nice. But like i said... after driving 65+mph on the highway your gonna get chips/bumps...

Guess I'll throw mine in here too. I know the heads aren't perfect.

I like the chrome lines in your housing, it makes it way more refined looking!

I also did mine today. Maybe I didn't sand it right, or maybe I didn't add enough layers of the flat black, but after putting down 3 layers of gray primer, and about 6 flat black layers with 4 clear coats, some of the gray still showed through. And I loved it. It gave it this slight metallic look that matches the car, which you can't really see in pictures. But nonetheless, here are some pics.

@ Ace - No. All I did was paint the housings.

@ Anh - Thanks. The painting was a b***h! Those lines are so narrow. I used automotive painters tape and an exacto to cut to fit. If I ever do it again I think I'll let a pro do it.

Here are a couple of closer pics (sorry, taken w/ an iPhone).

looks really nice man.. good job... you baked the headlights yourself and sealed them up without any problems?? I always wanted to paint the housing but my tints already make it look the same as if i painted the housing but i kinda want them a little darker.. i dont trust myself in re-sealing the headlights... i'd also love to go retro when i save some money... i love them projectors..
