Re-did my grill today. Had too many chips and decided to paint the mt fuji too cause I got tired of the black and chrome look.

No its actually gloss, but camera didn't pick it up well.

I sanded the grill down, used primer (duplicolor), gloss black (krylon gloss black) (this: http://s.shld.net/is/image/Sears/03006802000) and clear coat (gloss, duplicolor).

Started mine today. Got 320 grit sand paper to sand down a few rock chips and get the chrome off. Using dupicolor primer, gloss black, and clear as well.

Did the first coat of primer after sanding and cleaning.

Just applied a second coat. I plan on wet sanding with 600 grit once its completely dry. Then I'll apply a third and wet sand again before applying the first gloss black coat.

Finished product. I think it turned out great, but I do have some doubts with how long it will be able to hold up. (sorry for posting such a dirty car lol)

Lots of people can't seem to choose between flat black or the gloss black. I suggest semi gloss as a great in-between. just finished mine and it looks great

+1...I just did mine last weekend with semi-gloss...it's just the right amount for contrast without looking dull.
