Hey guys; do you think this issue is caused by the tracks being gooped-up, or perhaps something else? I just replaced the dc brushes with the recommended factory-identical parts and the motor is plenty strong now.. still, when the window gets lower on the track is becomes very sluggish.
Thanks

Yes sir,

These are exact replacements, same size and all, the only thing you need to do is lightly file a slight curvature on the brush heads so they make flash contact with the motor itself.

They're sold individually; you'll need 2 of these per motor.. 4 brushes for two motors.

Used this post to assist me in changing out both of my motors today.

Was definitely more work then I thought it would be aligning the window with the tracks and keeping everything in place. But it worked out and I finally can cruise with my windows down lol.

Thanks a lot!

Did anyone notice their window not dropping when opening the door as a premature sign of failure? My window won't drop down in the front driver, window raises and lowers well though.

if its an aftermarket motor my warranty exchanged motor from orielys did that. it wasnt failing going up and down just the open door feature. i kept it on for couple of months out of laziness and finally replaced it under the lifetime warranty. these refurb motors are sometimes hit and miss

probably needs to be reset or your motor depending on where you purchased it from could have bad limiter when they rebuilt it or the reset switch is completely stuck/seized.

Repeat offender here after number of years and this post still helpful. One thing I want to stress is that for the 2nd time (2 separate G's) all I had to do was clean out the "bad" motor. I am convinced that AutoZone gives money back on your "bad" motor because they probably just clean them up and sell as refurb or just give them out as their lifetime warranty replacements. Pretty good deal for them. Just to point out, when pulling the cover off the motor you will need to pull the F up on the actual motor spindle that is now exposed to get it removed. Everything went smooth except I am pissed I broke one of the clips behind the silver door handle trim piece so be easy. Also I kept my window up the whole time and was so scared of it falling since I hear that some people clamp use suction etc..,.I had nothing and I know last time I wasnt even aware of the window falling. So I just raw dogged it again. All good. Is this really a threat ? I did notice that the window did lower considerably as i was jostling away probably. On to fix my broken lock acuator now as part 2 of my day using the G35driver $5 aftermarket fix.

The window glass can fall yes, I've used cheap scotch tape before in a pinch, you can usually find SOMETHING that works.

I was pretty rambunctious and the window stayed didn't fall. I know its wise to do something, but I am sure I wont again when my passenger window fails. 1 thing to mention is that I didn't have to do the window reset game. Everything was all set.

Your auto-up and auto-down both work? That was purely luck then lol.

Yea was surprised also. But keep in mind I never disconnected the window motor from the car. I kept it on and just opened the shroud cover and cleaned it up.
