For everyone who is having window problems, and you believe that it is your window motor. I would be happy to rebuild it with new motor brushings if you do not feel like spending a ton of $$$ on a new motor. I've done the project a few times now on my car and a few of my friends and have had no trouble with any of the motors yet. I'm not sure if this is allowed on here or not and if not let me know and I'll delete the post, but if you are interested you can p'm me for more details.

 

Going to try this, been having some issues with my driver side window not always working, im hoping it will begin working again after cleaning it up!

So I'm having this issue with my drivers side window and I have done a lot of research and have not come accross a similar problem...

As we all know when weopen and close our doors the anti-pinch mechanism allows the window to go slightly down when open and goes back up to close off the seal when closed. My issue is this: when i open the door it doesn't seem that the window drops down as much as it should (i can push it down to the point where it's suppose to be dropping to). So when I close my door the window is already basically where it needs to be when closed yet it tries to close the seal anyway. This applies unecessary pressure on the seal that's already sealed up, causing my window to make stress noises (because it's trying to raise it when there's no room left to raise). I tried removing my door panel and tried resetting the motor switch like most posts suggested to no avail. I was thinking 1 of 2 things: either my motor is dirty and needs to be cleaned/replaced or possibly the glass is not tightened to the track all the way? if anyone has any insight please help me out. Thanks.

 

So I read through the pages and didn't find much on holding the window up..what is the best way to do this ? And if so if keeping the window up is the best way how can I keep it up? Any pictures ? I've read clamping it .. And using tape .. Any suggestions or tips thank you all

I'd say something about reviving a dead thread, but I'd want advice too, as I still own my G after 8 years now.

They work great and protect the glass too. I just put them on the lower corners, by the mirror and by the handle. Good luck!

 

Thanks for the reply bro but if I'm able to roll my windows down is it best for me to leave them down when cleaning up the motors?

 

I cant put the cap back on the motor it won't go all the way in please helpppp

 

the inside part may need to be pushed in / spun in more
