I had that issue on one and I put the metal cover on then forced it down enough to start threading one screw , than the 2nd screw, then the third

anyone wondered wtf kind of reset switch is on the window motor cus u cant tell if its being pressed or not? well i wondered and pulled the nipple off and to my surprise its not actually a switch. its more of a stopper. behind the nipple (which is grommet like) is a white disk that spins. and when you push the rubber nipple it stops the disk from spinning and thats how it sets the window. i guess by how many times the disk rotates or something.

heres a pic of wat im talking about. jus sharing

I don't know if this is normal but when I close my passenger door the window rolls up about a 1/4 inch....(already rolled up to the max using button). On my drivers side the auto up will roll about 1/4 or so down again if I use it...any ideas?

^Normal i believe for pressure reasons.

Question though. I ended up buying a refurbished motor from ebay that comes with lifetime warranty and once i installed it today and did the whole reset procedure, when i roll the window up it goes up significantly slow then when it goes down, and even when compared to the driver side window, it goes up a bit slower. Any fix to this? Some kind of modification to the window maybe?

No reset procedure needed

So i replaced my brushes last night and compared the old one (what VERY little was left) to the new and cant believe how soft the factory brushes are. I did buy a refurb. motor just in case i couldent pull it off but it went pretty smooth. I would def recomend doing a little research and at least trying to replace your brushes on the old motor motor instead of just buying a new one. Cant wait to go back to advanced auto and get my $200 bucks back today!!!! Total cost on new brush install = around 25-30 bucks. (bought two brush sets and some soldering goodies) Good luck guys !!

I've got another problem with my Driver window in my 07 g35 coupe

I cleaned the motor about 6 months ago due it stopped working and everything went back together great although there was a small air leak now when the window was up but the auto features and everything worked fine

Same window stopped working yesterday so I figured the motor was finally dead but I cleaned it and tested it and it still worked, well I tried putting everything back together and now the window (glass) is missaligned and I can't figure out how to align it
The two metal tracks inside the door that have the single screw that you have to feed through the black metal cover don't line up anymore and i have to really struggle to get them through and once they get through the window (glass) is pressing much to hard against the inside wall to go up

ANyone know how to align the tracks?

Nissan wanted to charge me 650 to replace the motor and regulator and align it....needless to say i don't want to spend that on something like this

Remove the circular covers so you can reach the tracks. Cleaning is only a temp fix brushes should be replaced

Hey guys, sooo I have an 04 and my window was going up really slow and I would have to sometimes hit the door panel to make the window go up/ pull the window up to assist it to go up. I just got an aftermarket motor and regulator and a year later...its doing the samething. Whats everyones thoughts on OEM and aftermarket motors and regulators? Why is this happening?...the window itself isnt off traack so I dont think it would burn out the motor...is it just so happens that the aftermarket one cant handle the weight of the window? Please help

Try replacing the brushes in the motor. Its a pretty easy job and costs less than thirty bucks!! Worth a shot - GOOD LUCK

2 Days later, my window doesn't work at all now. Doesn't roll up or down. Even when the door closes no auto-up. Window motor or switch, feels like theres no power going to the motor.

Try slamming the door while holding the window switch up
