the copper part will always go back in..that means you dont have it set right for it to slide back into place. You can order from autozone, advance auto parts, and so forth and they charge you a core....you take your bad one back and they give you the core charge back.

HELP!!!!!

My passenger side window is completely dead!

I just bought a new window motor and it doesnt show any sign of life..

I tried using the passengeer and drive side window button and and still does nothing.
The passenger side unlock button still works if that means anything.
I also unplugged and cleaned all electrical parts..

WTF is going on!:ico n07icon25:

Both are plugged in, I just tried pressing the button from the driver side for the passenger and it does nothing. Also, the passenger side window button does nothing. No sign of the motor moving even after a brand new motor

I can turn the car off, then on again and the passenger window will work fine only to stop the next day or the next time I turn it off and on. I am almost 100% positive that this is a relay/switch issue and the only reason I'm still dealing with it is because I don't know which one to replace since several threads show that it could be the driver side relay controlling the passenger side relay. One day I'm just going to break down and buy both of them.
I finally figured out why my windows weren't working after replacing the motor and switch and wanted to share my experience in case it happens to anyone else. - So when I installed my front door speakers I ran some serious 12gauge stinger pro double coated wire to the door components. Following the DIY thread from here I was able to cut out the harness sections and run the wire. Because the wire was so big I had to cut out a decent portion of the plastic harness and I was super careful not to mess up any other wires. HOWEVER, one thing I didn't think of was the impact having all that extra wire inside the loom that goes from the chassis to the door would have on the other wires inside. What was happening is whenever I opened/closed my door past a certain point it was breaking connection on one of the power wires going to my window switch which is why the switch would only have power when the door was all the way open. So in case this happens to anyone else check your door loom.

So I had my door panel off to do my actuators, and when I put it back on the passenger window won't go up and down with the switches. It will go up and down when I open the door but the switch does nothing. I haven't had any problems with it not working before or being slow. It makes no noise and the door tapping doesn't work as well as the window reset. What switch is broken? All the connections looked fine.

So while i was doing my door lock actuators I decided to clean my window motor. Last time I had the panel off the window stopped working except for going up and down a little when I open the door but it would not go up or down with the switches. But now that I cleaned the motor it won't even go up or down a little when i open the door. Help!
