Just finished half side of my car using this DIY and another one from my350... both of them were of great help...

For those that got stuck on bolts (stepping on them etc and it still wouldn't move) ... an Impact Wrench is your best best best best best friend. Literally, every bolt that it can reach got out. Even the top bolt from the strut came off without using a plier or chisel or anything to hold the piston. It took me 1 second and no effort.

That also goes for the bottom bolts of the strut and end link.

I also had the same problem with the part from the brake line attaching to the strut bending trying to take the 12mm bolt off... again Impact tool didn't even let it bend. Came straight out in 2 seconds.

To reply to someone else's comment of the strut/spring getting stuck and not moving at all... i literally had to push the whole suspension arm down with a lot of weight to give it a little clearance on top to pull down even more and slide out... you can pull the arm down it will help a lot.

For the spring compressors... i put them on when the strut was on the car instead (guy from my350 did this) ... i strongly recommend this too. It will make your life much easier... also a lot SAFER !

.... just my .02 cents.... doing the other side this weekend =)

(cause our roads suck here in PA) by it is not my daily driver so I am ok with it. You should be alright with the 19's but if you were thinking of going to 20s the fenders will have to be rolled. they are spec 1.5 from H&R.
Would it be a bad idea to change just the springs? I am fairly high mileage so my suspension may not be able to bare the load, but i need a ball joint first -_- Also, I was told the control arm and ball joint is one part, is that true? Anybody know?

It's done took me 5hrs! Mostly trying to figure out how to loosen up the bolts. :/
This was my 1st time changing springs so not bad i guess

Everything looks good until i test drove her.
I'm hearing a rubbing noise in the front left I believe.. But I double checked nothing was hitting anything.. I don't know what it is. I drive faster, i hear the noise getting faster.
Any one ran into this problem?

tires specs are 245/35 275/35.
The noise im hearing is weird. sounds like a rubbing but if i was rubbing it wouldve been rubbing the whole entire time the car is in motion but no, it only makes that noise after each full rotation of the tire.. its weird :/
Could it be my tires? both of my fronts need replacing ASAP! HA

Might be the wheel bearing . Jack the car up and see if you have any play in the wheels. Sorta like a knocking around or thump sound . That could make a sound while driving......
