ok, i'm trying to get my strut out to swap springs...i've followed the DIY and the youtube video, but for some reason, my strut isn't moving freely like the video. it's like it's still got a load on it.

i'm a big guy and i'm yankin on this thing like there's no tomorrow and i cant get it out. it won't come down from where it meets the body at all. like when it says to "slide the lower fork forward" my fork won't move. i mean, if i STEP on the control arm, then it might, but i don't want to break anything...

how hard can i shove down on the control arm assy? but it doesn't seem like it would matter because it's held in place by the lower endlink....

any help is appreciated.

If you have removed all bolts as listed the strut should move with little to no force. Any photos to show your issue.

It should be ok to push down the lower control arm a little to pull the strut down. I had to and did.

Hose it down with PB blaster and buy a large breaker bar.

You have to secure the bolt. Use a breaker bar. Have both sides of the front of the car up.

PB Blaster is better than WD for breaking stuff loose. if you can't get it, you might have to call a shop. have access to an impact gun?
