DIY: Spring Install Only
I was planing on installing Eibach Pro Kit on my G but had a couple of concerns before i commit. If the kit says bout 1-1.5 inch drop, is this usually right? I heard you should expect a bit more when lowering with most kits. Im concerned because I dont want my G too low just alil more agressive look. Also i've seen my cousin go threw tires like crazy when lowering his hondas, i know a G is different from a honda but my question is should i expect the same result? should a go camber kit?...... thanks for any info

It's your call on the camber kit... but I feel it is not needed if you are only going with a 1 - 1.5 inch spring drop. A more aggressive drop using coilovers then yes I would invest in a camber kit, but everyone has their own opinion.
listen people, it's' Toe, not camber that will eat your tires like crazy. I recommend doing the install, waiting about a month for the springs to settle and then taking your car to an alignment shop. They will be able to see how out of spec you are. if your Toe is messed up, you may need to get some aftermarket toe bolts. if the camber is a bit negative, that will be okay in most cases and will not normally lead to crazy tire wear.
Question about "leaking springs"
I left my car at the dealer to have my brakes replaced and rotors machined. They called me back today and said during the multipoint inspection they found that my rear driver side spring is leaking.
First, how is this possible? What could have caused it?
2nd, without seeing the "leak" does anyone know what the tech means and how much could this potentially cost to fix?

The spring is a solid piece of steel. After years of service they can lose their life and begin to sag I guess but not leak. A strut or shock can leak or an airbag but I don't see how a spring can. Factory spring are available here in the marketplace all the time. Just search them out.
+1, they meant the strut is leaking, could be caused by excessive wear or impact/accident. OEM struts are gas filled, you might not see the leak but you can feel it, the car tends to drive bouncy when the struts lose damping, and might sit lower. It might be a good time to invest in some good struts.

I do notice that my 05g rides rougher than my friends 2001 civic. I've always chalked it up to being a sportscar n thought it was normal.
The damaged strut is on rear driver side. Why didn't both go bad?
Where you recomend to have this work done. Assuming I go with oem how much should job n parts normally cost?
