Thumbs up Swift Spring Build up!

Hello everyone,

My name is Alex. I am a Current Sponsor on this site and was asked to show a little more about the swift springs. Altho i HAVE sold some swift springs to some 350Z's i didn't not have a chance to take Pictures. But this Thread is more meant to concentrate on the actual springs themselves. So Here is my Build up thread on the Swift Springs. I hope this Helps.

This is the Car that We did (my personal car)

These are the springs that i used to replace the existing ones. The Coilovers i am Running right now is a Zeal Function B6. Keep in Mind these are Integra Type R application coilovers.... Very stiff on a little hatch back.

we start by removing the coilovers off my car.

as we removed the existing springs on my car ... i decided to weight them ...
The Zeal Spring came out at 2.4 LBS

The Swift came out at 1.8 LBS

As you can see .. the springs appeare to be the same diameter and length. They are the same KG/mm Rating as well.

The Weight you save off the car is not a whole lot... but the Weight that you save in Unsprung weight... thats the Big Diffrence. These springs were tested at 20%-80% compression and Retained the same Spring Rate all the way thrue.

We then Put the car back together and i took it for a test spin at the local canyon Roads that night. WOW... Night and day diffrence. It was awsome... The Swift springs completly eliminated the rear wheel skip i used to have in corners. The Weight Transfer actually became much smoother thrue out the corners. More tire to the ground = Faster! More Control and smoother weight Transfer = Much FASTER!! I did get a set of 400 dollar springs to replace the Zeal springs which are very good in quality already. For me to Feel improvement on Such High end suspension made me not regret buying a set of these. I Highly recommend them... if your suspension is stock or you already own coil overs.... i recommend them... Especially to you Track Guys.

If you have any Question's that i have not answered .. please just ask.

I've seen you a few times on the 605S when I'm on my way to work. Make sure you post some pics of a 350Z/G when you get some pics.

why don't you start out by letting us know what spring rates you offer
for the G35C's and 350Z's. let us know if progressive rate or linear
and how much drop.

and yep, your weight savings you noted is more in your head than
anything else. it's like comparing how the car drives before and after
you had supper.

Swift 350Z linear springs .8”/.6” drop on 350Z, G35 drop will be higher)
Spring rates in LBS 336/364

Swift G35 coupe linear springs 1”/.6” drop on G coupe, G35 sedan drop will be higher)
Spring rates in LBS 280/314 (softer then oem,...buyer beware)

^^ thanks. the 350z linear sounds like a better choice between the
above two, but probably get some d-specs with them too.

The spring rate is listed on the chart that i posted on top as well as all the spec's on the springs and how low they drop. They do have a set of springs for 350Z and a diffrent set of springs for the G35 coup. (coup only)

The Weight savings isn't much as far as the weight you save on the car, but as far as unsprung weight this would be and Big diffrence. Considering that I provided pics on the scale i would say that these figuers are not im my head. If you already own a set of coilovers (no matter what the brand) they do offer custom spring rates. Coil-over replacement springs are available in every size and diameter and Kg/mm ratings. The springs are Linear.. not progressive....

The springs allow the frame and vehicle to ride undisturbed while the suspension and tires follow the road surface. Reducing "unsprung" weight will provide less road shock. A high "sprung" weight along with a "low unsprung" weight provides improved ride and also improved tire traction.

I hope this clears things up for you. if it doesn't .. i will do my best to explain it more clearly!
