On The Brembo's How Many Squeel Plates Should I Have?

The service manual I read said that the 03-04 OEM Brembo pads had shims and wear sensors built in. The shims are non-removable, and the wear sensor is just the metal tab.
I also had a previous experience with the aftermarket RacingBrake shims.

To make a long story short, MAKE SURE YOU GET THE REVISED VERSIONS OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE A SOFT PEDAL. They are otherwise excellent in eliminating brake squeal, but I have a sense that the brakes were stronger without any shims at all.

They are DEFINITELY removeable. The picture he posted above is of the "non-removable" shim off of the OEM pad. I wouldn't have been able to put all of the shims on the new set of pads if they were "non-removable."
