So im a total noob when it comes to suspension.

from what im aware of, Coilovers = shocks + spring + dampers?

so if i got some tokico shocks, s-techs, and some dampeners, would that make me have a coilover kit? correct me if im wrong.

please inform? planning to lower my car some more! =)

Coilovers - @ least on the rear - are complete 'units' with springs installed over struts similar to what you have on the front. With a rear coilover you lose the separate spring which you now have. That's the quick & dirty description anyways.

coilovers give you the ability to adjust ride height..for the rear it is the same as a strut+spring setup...not as someone mentioned above. you put springs in and as well as replace the strut. the spring can be adjusted to drop the height.

if you get tokicos + springs you can not do adjust height. but you will go lower.
