Compression rod / Lower control arm ... little confused HELP
#47
price is for each... technically you would only need to replace the side that is bad, however I figure you might as well do both...
Last weekend I replaced both lower control arm bushings with Nismo bushings purchased from mynismo.com (which is Performance Nissan in Duarte) $40 each… and both compression rod bushings from Riverside Infiniti less than $20 each... had them pressed in by Temple City Auto (they gave me a deal, but typically its $35 per bushing including removal and reinstall)...
I got an alignment - but it doesn’t mean you would have to if you replaced just one bushing... every car is going to be different... it’s not a bad idea though.

The mechanic I am dealing with is reluctant to deal with this problem because he says they arent designed to be replaced. He also says it would void any liability that Infiniti would have should anything go wrong. Is he being just a nervous nellie or should I be one? Any info would help.
I suggest printing the TSB and showing it to your mechanic.
