im thinking you are correct. i put new tires on the front and just did a static balance on them. ill try the dynamic balance and see if it goes away.

Is the a maximum amount of miles at which the stealership will replace these rods at? I have 69K on my car so will that still earn a free replacement?

Thanks

Depends on whether or not you got an extended warranty, if you have aftermarket parts, and whether or not your dealership service reps like you

I took mine in and my whole front end suspension is different. I have an extended warranty, so I just asked them to take a look and let me know if the bushings were in fact damaged (I knew they were). He called me back, said they were and that they were replacing them and only charging me the $100 deductible

I recently had a knocking / clunking noise coming from my passenger front. I ended up changing the compression rods for both sides, plus endlinks in all four corners... guess what... now I have a small knocking coming from the drivers side.

Could it be a defective new factory rod?
Could it be the shocks - car has 100000KM and the sport red shocks (sedan)
Could it be the inner sway bar bushing?

I don't know what to do, but I dropped some coin into this fix, and I am not satisfied with the outcome. I did not hear this knock on the driver side before, but now I do - and I went all out and replaced both compression rods.

???

I'm having the same problem with my compression rod bushings and have had it for awhile; just thought it was a merely something g35 owners have to get used to. Does anyone know how long this is covered under warranty is before it is too late to get them replaced and are they even covered. The suggested to have them done last time I had my brakes done. I should have asked then. 2004 G35X
