ABS, VDC Off, SLIP light all ON
Had this EXACT problem last week, added a bit of brake fluid cause it was a bit low, and no lights since then. But what do we know, theres only been hundreds of people on this forum with this same problem. And any good "automotive technician", aka mechanic, knows you learn new things everyday. Im an electrical engineer and find things everyday that dont necessarily make sense, but still happen. To say you know best cause your a mechanic is the most ignorant thing ive heard all day....haha
this same thing just happened to my car since tonight..
i was testin my car up an down the road because it was parked for a while ...
the brak fluid is actually a little above the line so i dont think its a brake fluid problem..
i wonder if it could be that the rear brake pads are low

i also had 3 lights on, fixed the abs and slip coz the rear brake lights not working. So the brake wire is bypassed from the ecu, and works? but the engine light still on. Heard from mech that engine light may be due to o2 sensor.. have checked the brake fluids...
this just happened to me and my car is stuck in park and i cant shift into drive my VDC, ABS, SLIP is on...if i was to get brake fluid now from wal-mart which fluid should i get????
No problems shifting, I have the 6mt, but vdc, abs, adn slip lights are on. I will stop and get some brake fluid tomorrow on my way to work (so I can get laid off on friday, sucks *****, cutting back on funding so last ones hired first ones let go, sucks to be me). But I will try the brake fluid.
Try the brake fluid... but this happened to me and that was the first thing I tried and that was not the solution.
My problem was that I had a aftermarket spoiler installed and there was a short in the wire... caused all my brake lights not work, also a fuse blew... check to see if your brake lights are working... most likely it is a fuse... if not a fuse then you have wire or an electrical shortage...

I am here to tell you all that tomorrow, I'm dropping my G35 5amt to Infiniti of Kirkland and will find out what the hell it is?! Mine happened after an oil change at Jiffy Lube. The car was fine all day. Turned it off many times throughout the day, this morning I rinsed of some loose dirt and conditioned the leather, turned it on and when I pressed the brake pedal to dis-engage the solenoid in the shifter... all those scary lights came on, brake lights didn't work and I didn't hear the tell-tail (click) at the shifter when pressing the brake??? As soon as I told the tech at Infiniti that I took it to Jiffy Lube... He was almost certain they bumped something the shouldn't have. I will post the answer tomorrow. You may also check out my website shareyourproblem.com for that and many, other answers to everything. It's a new site and will take a little time to be the best, but I think it will be a very useful tool for knowledge.
SLIP, ABS, VDC w/rear brake lights not working
I just had this fixed today! I have THE answer for all the questions on why the SLIP, VDC, ABS w/no brake lights issue..... It's the Brake/Stop switch under the dash. The plunger part of that switch that the brake pedal rests on when you let go of the pedal, very commonly freezes after time. It was about $225 from the dealer.
I was just about to reply about the brake switch. most of the time when you cant get the shifter out of park if its a at trans. it has to do with the braking system elctronically ie. brake switch on the pedal or a fuse being blown in that system. when you dont get a brake signal going to the shift lock actuator it will not release the shifter for safety purposes unless its over ridden by the manual shift lock.

Yea I talked to my Infiniti dealer cuz I had the same problem, he topped off my brake fluid and it was just fine
Mines happened right after I swapped my OEM wheels to aftermarket..I didn't remove the tire sensors and transfer them on my new wheels..Would that be it? I can drive perfectly fine, but when I brake..it feels rough and I literally have to step on it..but when I drive on the freeway over 60mph it's all normal, however, that's when the VDC ABS SLIP lights all come on simultaneously!?!
I've installed new front Brake pads (much needed) resurfaced my rotors as well as making sure brake fluid is up to par. Anyone with any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
