stiff rear shocks/ more travel?

Koni's in the rear, will not solve your problem.
Numbers are pulled from shock dyno file's I have. Sorry, I haven't had a reason to dyno oem sedan sport shocks, don't think I ever will.
Rebound stiffness shown in lbs/inches per second
Koni rear
1 ips 51lbs
2 ips 104lbs
3 ips 131
oem rear 350Z revised (softer on rebound vs the Koni sport shown above)
1 ips 36lbs
2 ips 79lbs
3 ips 116lbs
Compression stiffness shown in lbs/inches per second
Koni rear
1 ips 42lbs
2 ips 58lbs
3 ips 78lbs
oem rear 350Z revised (stiffer on compression vs the Koni sport shown above)
1 ips 68lbs
2 ips 91lbs
3 ips 109lbs

Another example of when more stiffness results in bounce and freeway porposing
.
Two shocks are shown.
Both of them have the exact same bump or compression stiffness. Notice however that the blue line at the bottom show's that shock has greater rebound stiffness. Greater control means better ride quality right? Not in this case, your looking at shock dyno's for revised and unrevised oem rear 350Z shocks. Even though the revised shock is controling a 25% stiffer spring, it uses less rebound and deliver's a lot less bounce and porposing.

Setting them on med is higher then you should set them based on the spring rates your running.
