Questions about Air Ride suspension ask here
A leveling system with presets really is the way to go Troy. If you don't want to go that route, you should at least get a gauge & pressure sensors so you can monitor pressure at each corner (all else being equal, once you establish your desired ride height you should try to keep that same amount of pressure in each bag). The downside with using pressure sensors alone is that pressure can vary depending on the number of occupants or how much gas is in the car.
I am still confused on bag over coilover setups. Who besides uas makes bags to slip over struts? Do you need to make a bracket incase the id of the bag is bigger the the od of the coilover shock? Do you need to make a bracket for the upper strut mount ( mostly talking about rear)? How much have you guys spent on a kit.like this? Btw this is for a g35 sedan 2003 model with tein 350z coilovers
If I go the bag route, I plan on getting my stuff from www.bagriders.com They pretty much have a whole kit, level mngt system or just the bags/cups/brackets already setup made for our cars.

what size mounting cups are needed for the rear? 4.5" OR 5.5" diameter and what heights? thx
edit: so looking through the thread as well as pictures ive came to the conslusion the correct diameter should be 5.5" and the height to get the lowest drop possible without the bags rubbing is 2" height both top and bottom?
confirmation on this would be great though.

Thanks to kenny and everyone else for this very useful thread. I just finished reading all 27 pages and now I will be considering getting air suspension for my car.
I just have a couple of questions ..
I own a 05 g35x and I was wondering since its AWD, would everything still fit no problem like a RWD g35?
Also, would I be able to go very low or will the transfer case be a major factor? I dont want to get air suspension if the lowest I can get isn't very low at all. Thanks!

As far as going low, 9/10 you can put your car on the ground, questions is do you drive like this? Negative, you want to have a 'coilovers' stance driving height for obvious reasons of making parts on your vehicles last, you dont want to over extend axles, thus putting stress on diff and other drivetrain components. You also dont want any of your trailing arms to get too much stress on them especially the front A arm is know to end up hitting the chassis of the vehicle.
Hey Kenny,
I'm about to purchase UAS bags and brackets in a week or so. I'll be using accuair as management. I was curious will UAS bags and the brackets that they provide fit perfectly into BC coilovers?

I'm thinking about going with air. I'm gonna do the Accuair elevel but where is a place I can get the tank, compressor, plates for the bags, bags, fittings and power supply? I want quality parts but I think the components that accuair has is a bit pricey. Any help? Thanks.

Bagriders has some deals going on now for full setups. You can always just get the elevel setup and then piece together your other stuff. the elevel setup with tank and compressor and rocker control is on sale now for $1435. You would still need to add coils and bags as well as wiring kit and fittings. I ended up getting all new fittings for my setup since I didnt like the ones that came with my accuair. The fittings cost me about $90 which included all the tank fittings, new mini ball valve for the drain and bags. It will also cost more to get a 2nd compressor. All said and done, expect to spend over $4000 for quality parts id you want elevel. The OP posted some places to piece together other parts if you wanted to go that route to combine with the elevel management system.

Thanks for the help. What's the purpose behind the accuair fittings? I've found deals on tank/compressor combos for fairly cheap. I found a Vivair 440c compressor with a 3gal tank for $245. I'm not going to be going up and down frequently with my car so I really don't see a need for a 5 gal tank right now. I will say I like the bigger compressor in case I do want to get a bigger tank later on. I'm still researching everything and I'll put up a list on here and see what all you experienced guys think. One more thing, what do you think about running tokico struts with the bags?
bmpnride, I did spend close to 2 hours on bagriders yesterday pricing things. Any experience with the bags and brackets they sell as kit for our coupes? The fronts are Aero Sports and you have 3 options for the rear. Slam SS-5, RE-5 and Air House 2. $644 for plates, aero sport front bags, and air house 2 rears... That just seems high IMO.
