All tanks will have a drain, if it doesn't it's a p.o.s. Though the drain might be accessible if you also have stereo gear in the trunk you don't want to vent the tank openly into it so you need something under the drain or attach a hose before draining.

The 3-5 gallon tanks you guys have are likely shot and need to be replaced if you haven't drained it in 1.5 years or so, easy and quicker to buy a new one rather than trying to clean it out.

If any of you do replace your air-tank after having "unexplainable" problems and now think not draining your tank might be the cause empty the old one of air then cut it open and post pics of what you find.

disclaimer-if any of you do cut open your old tank it is solely at your own risk and liability

ok i got a UAS kit as some of you all know.. what can i do to prevent air leak from fittings on air tanks? the brass fittings see to fit but after 3 or 4 turns it gets hard to turn.. we teflon taped it and tightened it as tight as we could and it leaked. maybe fittings arent made for tank?

also this pressure switch on the right is suppose to bolt on to the screw on the left but the thread pitch completely different. found a fitting thats i could fit the pressure switch to but the pitch thread is a bit too big... we tried to make it fit but no luck.. leaking pretty bad on that one and leaking on the other 2 fittings non related to the pressure switch.

Brass is soft so brass fittings should only be hand tight, it sounds like you damaged the threads from over-tightening. The only fix is new fittings and don't tighten with a wrench next time, idk about the other questions you have.

Problems resolved.

Here's where I sit aired out. Can't figure out why I can't tuck the fronts... Have enough adjustment on coils to bottom out and I took 2 collars off.. Believed to be my a arms or my strut needs to be modified. I think it also may be my front cv boot hitti g my sub frame? But I'm very happy with it now... Need a couple more inches up front!!!

Ride height camber is only at -1.2 up front.. More camber will be added after I get my new wheel set up... Should achieve tuckage.

Ok got a couple concerns.....

I'm on UAS manual air suspension over BC Coil struts.

This is my ride height air pressure... At 24.25 inches all around.

Is this normal for it to be uneven? What could cause this?

The front is heavier than the rear.

Figured I'd share some pics of my final result of my air ride on my Z.

Questions about Air Ride suspension ask here-img_1405.jpg

MPG35fiend I am running different pressures on my Z also I run about 75 psi up front and 28 psi rear for ride height. I see you have them setup so that the pressures uneven side to side that just means your collars are setup up uneven. I reccomend that you switch your air ride gauge plumbing, this was very confusing me to me the way you have them plumbed. I have one gauge for front and one for rear, red is left side and yellow is right. Although I have a dakota digital 5 in 1 gauge going in rigt now.

I have a custom setup ISC N1 coilovers with UAS aero sport bags up front with bag rider 350Z front brackets and Air lift D2500 on the rear with bag rider 350Z rear cups.

Yea I figured it was the best way for me.. But it makes more sense now that I actually have some experience with them now.

Im almost positive that My collars are the same up front and the same in the rear.. I can double check it.. But the difference in the rear is only 10psi from left to right and almost 25psi up front from left to right...

What could it be besides the collars? Camber? Damper setting? I did ride on different camber settings for a month by accident. The left was almost full hard and the right was almost full soft on both the front and rear.... I put them all on the same damper settings to see if it would make a difference. It ended up being worse by a little bit...

Thanks for your help Nismo.. No one seems to know anything about my issues.. Pretty much trying to trouble shoot everything on my own. At least I'm making some progress.

Yea its been a lot of experimenting with me too found out I hate trying to read analog gauges real quick lol. Only other thing I can think of it being is if you didn't measure your lines side to side if one is longer than the other the longer line would take more pressure to inflate the bag vs the shorter line.

LOL that's exactly what it is then! I never measured the lines even though they were pretty close in length.

But is that normal? Is bad for my car/bags?

Yea thats completely normal its not bad or anything just makes it a pain in the a## with the gauges and switch box because nothing matches up lol Makes it so that if you have like a 5+ button switch box it's kinda useless to use the up and down all button or the just front and just rear buttons because they will all inflate at different rates. Might affect your ride also because more PSI is like having a higher spring rate on your coils.

cool thanks a lot for all of you help and input man....

but i was talking to my friend that is pretty familiar with air suspension and i brought up the fact the it could be lines and he said that it shouldnt affect it that much. his lines arent even either and his psi is pretty much the same... im thinking its bc he has digital gauges? hes got a different bag set up too but i forgot what theyre called. there more expensive and all his fronts are sleeved bags.
