it's the exact same noise i've heard. Mine happens when my car is stationary and i'm turning the steering wheel. It seems like ES bushing does create some noises like SPL does. Another thing, do you feel like your car is likely being raise up? Since the bushing is higher compare to OEM, the front end of my car seems like standing higher. It's a weird feeling when you drive the car...

Mine is basically while turning out of my driveway. I haven't noticed a change in ride height.

Up date. I lube the hell out of the gaps between the bushing and the frame. I spray the gaps with WD40 first then I use lots and lots of antiseize.

The noise was reduced significant but there is still a little squeak when I'm backing out and turning the steering wheel at the same time. I guess I can live with that squeak

It's the bushing and the compression rod. There is a gap between the bushing (plastic pieces) and the compression rod itself.

Update:

My bushings are creaking like crazy now. It's embarrassing. Temps here have been in the low teens at night to high 30's during the day, and this is driving me nuts.

I'm about ready to buy stock bushings and put those on instead. Even if I go in and lube these up really good, it sounds like it only temporarily fixes the issue, and it will probably just come back.

Same here. We have the lower 40s up here and the noise is bother the hell out of me. I don't believe we have any permanent solution to fix those bushing. I'm thinking about buying the OEM as well and just replace them every 35k miles.

Yeah, now the noise is about 5x worse than when I had my failing stock ones on.

moto_za- Sorry, but at least you're finding out BEFORE you put them on.

Did you look into buying the stock bushing Keith? I dont know if we can buy the bushing only or we have to buy the whole compression rod....

Yeah, Phil@GRUBBS gave me a quote of $52 shipped for two bushings. I haven't ordered anything yet, though.

Does anyone know/think that a good grease would permanently (or at least for a couple years) remove the noise? I used anti-seize when I installed it. Would I need to take it all apart again to grease it properly?

I'm just looking at my options before I decide to do anything here.
