Brembo Brakes option vs stock regular

I have looked all over and all I am curious about is what kind of Brembo Brakes they are
2 piston?

Is it really any better than stock regular brake set up if in wrong place please pm me the location of this chat.

Curious as I am looking for a G.

Thank You

The oem brembo brakes that came on some G's and Z's are 4 piston front 2 piston rears. The factory G's 03-04 had smaller brakes than the 05-07 models which actually brakes pretty good. I tracked my car with my stock 2/1 piston brake setup and it was fine. I've upgraded to the oem brembo BBK running the same type of rotors and pads, and I feel no noticable increase in braking, but I have yet to go on track with the brembo setup so I'll be able to tell then.

I have 2 coupes and 1 has the brembo option and 1 has the regular brakes and going from non brembo to bembos is noticeable If you come across a set of oem brembos for 1000 or so I would pick them up a buddy of mine has a bbk and it's not worth the extra money when you can get stock brembos for so cheap but as he said ^ they are 4 piston fronts and 2 piston rears

If you look up the specs, non-brembo actually stops a bit faster/shorter than oem brembo's. This a lot of the time can be quite typical of bbk's. Now the difference comes in if you are rapidly and repeatedly braking hard and brake fade starts to play a factor. Then the bbk should keep you braking on average shorter distances than the non-brembo oem.

Do you really drive in a way that would necessitate that? Do you track the car? If not you're more just doing it for looks, don't expect them to stop better than non-brembo.

Any bbk should be better than stock in terms of braking distance. More rotors surface area making contact with a larger pad area with a larger caliper with more pistons = better braking.

I track both of mine at least once a month and both work fine but the bembos work better and look 100x better

Things aren't so simple, and not nearly to the effect that you are imaging. You can search around more but I'll attach a quick thread with a link to a testing with a 350z stock and a bbk. You'll notice initial braking distance for all intent and purposes are essentially exactly the same. Like previously noted bbk's are really only going to be making a difference at a track, not on the road. On the road they are just some bling, not saying that's not a good reason to get them, but the OP shouldn't expect to be braking any noticeably better in normal driving conditions.

Also consider the fact that bbk's weigh much more than non-bbk oem setups, you have to consider the additional mass as well in your decision making.

That's actually really interesting and objective information. Very surprised by the results actually.
