Put the sedan on a diet.

Just wanted to share my weight loss results. 3140 lbs is what I ended up at after a whole lot of removal. I still have full interior.

Removed all sound deadening
Switched to Z manual seats up front
Removed AC and all components
Light weight LMGT4's (18's)
5 lbs battery
Coilovers
Idler pulley delete
Heat shield removal on oem cats and manifolds
A lot of brackets in the engine bay
Exhaust
Removed all air bags except driver

I'm sure I'm missing some stuff.

So is this a track car? Just curious, saw the removal of AC and you live in AZ.

If I remember correctly they were in the 30-35lb range. The stocks were 75-80 lbs.

Removed airbags? I hope you dont even plan on taking it on a public road again. If you are willing to remove safety features to save 5 lbs, why not remove stereo, sunroof and full interior?

I assume this is referring to the seats and thats actually really good almost as light as an actual racing seat.

If you read the post.. You would have read that I removed all air bags except drivers side. And passenger side air bag, and curtain airbags were about 10lbs. I have no sunroof and I do plan on switching oem head unit with a lighter single disc head unit. Thanks for you input.

They have actually been weighed on the 350z forum. The manual 350z track seats are 44.8 lbs each.
