My 05x is doing it, I'm getting my oil changed this weekend, so I'll ask them to take a look at it since it sounds like its under warranty. I thought it sounded like it was coming from my front axles... the last oil change I did, they reported a bad bushing

So I went in to get mine done today. Found out I'm 2 months out of warranty and they wanted $265 to do the job. Unbelievable.

Sometimes Infiniti will cover something out of good will- especially if it looks like the problem developed while the car was under warranty. $265.00 isn't too bad though. I would have thought that it would be more money.

does the clicking noise affect anything? will it cause issues down the road?

Does not affect anything. Merely just annoying. Still love my car (obviously), but this is still a little bit of a PITA. I am going to speak with a different service rep at the same Infiniti dealer and see if I can work it to get the job done for less. Wish me luck.

I just had this start the other day. I bought an '04 2 months ago. I'm guessing the factory warranty is dead.

I took mine in today, they looked it up and my warranty does not cover it. They quoted me $460 to fix it, that includes pulling the axles and lubing, replacing bolts etc. I asked what causes it, he said it gets rusty inside. I asked if I ignore it if it gets worse. He said without the grease/lub, it will turn from round into almost a egg shape, then will have to replace axles. I will most likely pull my own axles and lube them, if new hardware is needed I'll order that.

My 2007 G35x is making this clicking noise, at low speeds when pulling away from a stop or slowing down to a stop. I started noticing it a few months ago, though it may have been doing it all winter and I just didn't notice until I started driving with the windows open more.
