saw your note about the rear STB (have the front coming soon - I hope!). If you can make yours higher or lower than the stillen, that would be great (so it doesn't cut the trunk space unnecessarily). Never understood why Stillen didn't make the bar dip down or up out of the way... (cost?)

Will this clear the stock engine cover? And Will it clear a 5/16 plenum spacer? Pics would be awesome. Please let me know. Thanks!

Spacer is a non-issue.

Yes, the stock flimsey plastic engine cover will need to be removed or modified to allow clearance for the STB. The engine cover is usually one of the first things on these cars to go, it is a good way to let the motor experse some heat, instead of retain it like a blanket.

It could be something I may look into in the future, but 90% of the cars I have put these on already have the flimsey (heat retaining) plastic engine cover already removed.

Seriously, that is for looks only. I would not waste time or effort redesigning a fully functional part for the sake of that engine cover.

Now you might want to design and sell a well-ventilated engine cover for the VQ that fits your brace but does not retain heat and has a cool infiniti and/or VRT logo. I'd go for that! I gotta admit that the stock manifold isn't the prettiest to look at.

Still loveing this strut tower brace. This thing works as good, if not better than any other suspension mod I have done.

Interesting thread on Scott and a great review for the brace....................
