replaced brembo brakes warrantied!

So I went in on Monday morning to have my brake pedal looked at from telling them I'm getting vibration at all speeds.

They called me back at 3PM telling me rotors are out of spec and pads are worn down to 1mm. I was like ok... they quoted me 2,200 or something like that so I told them I'll call back shortly about it. I called up my salesman and told him the situation of me buying the car with 24,500 miles and having to deal with this after driving 6k miles. He said ya ya ok I understand that's not right, you shouldn't be having to do this so he called the service department. Service department called me back and said they were putting in a request through Infiniti for "goodwill service". Then he calls me back and says ok Infiniti will replace my pads and pay for rotors being re-surfaced but turned out they replaced one of my rotors instead of re-surfacing it.

So I couldn't get my car back till overnight which was no problem since I had a loaner with XM radio I didn't mind beside missing a MT.

I ended up with new pads front and rear (brembo's), 3 re-surfaced rotors, 1 new rotor.

They said the clock has 2 bulbs and one was dead so replaced my clock bulbs instead of replacing the clock don't know about that yet but will soon enough.

They also sprayed silicone sealant on my weather stripping and said they tested it twice and no whistling anymore.. haven't actually tested that yet either but I will soon enough. Also had trunk bulbs replaced since those were dead as well.

I didn't pay anything beside gas in the loaner and that's fine... I know I've heard alot of you having bad experienced at Herb Chambers service department but I've had only good experiences there.

I think my brake pedal is still vibrating when I brake... I don't know why but maybe it will go away by itself but the brake response seems to be alot better. I guess next time around I'm going to need 3 new rotors however.

Really? I'm on the brembo's... they don't vibrate as much as before, I'm actuallly here at back at the dealership now sometimes things can't go perfect but the rear wheel is making a loud grinding whirling noise and took a ride with a service manager and he was really sorry about the inconvenience for me but I want my car back now (they were suggesting a rental and picking it up tommorrow) but I just got my car back after not having it for a day so I miss the MT.

This is inconvenient for me, I've been really busy at work, I rushed over here right after and gotta wake up at 6AM tommorrow and thanks to a trip here I'm going to be stuck in heavy traffic, but I'm not going to yell at them for it since it won't change anything and certainly not help in the situation.

I was told brembo's are not warrantied by Infiniti but Brembo warranties there brakes up to 1 year 12k miles.

Infiniti told me they removed brembo's off there future models because of the pads wearing too quickly and customers were complaining?.. not sure..

That sounds like nonsense. Anecdotely from this board it would seem a lot more customers complain because they aren't an option for Infiniti '05+ models. Nissan continued to offer the Brembos on one of their models for '05 and '06 so it's doubtful a Nissan customer likes them and an Infiniti customer doesn't.

A more likely explanation is simply cost savings or a marketing move to improve the image of the 350 as more sport/performance than the G.

Did you find out the cause of the grinding noise?

just got my car back today from what they said it was a loose pin in one of the rear wheels that was causing a grinding noise on my brakes...
