Correct. It's do-able, but most likely your stock shocks will not last long. The ride quality won't be as good either.

Everyone doing the coupe rears and z fronts coincide with coupe and z shocks combined as well?

^Not always.
Sometimes it is, other times they do just coupe, or just z shocks, still others leave the sedan shocks (especially those with the sport package)

either shocks will work.

from: https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...w-updates.html

Oem linear springs
G35 coupes with oem 17’s & 18’s
G35 sedan’s with sport suspension
350Z’s 2003/2004 (unrevised)
Front:314 Rear:342

Oem linear springs
G35 sedan's with non sport
Front: 283 Rear: 308

Oem linear springs
G35 coupes 2005/2006 with oem 19’s only
350Z 2004.5 to 2006 (revised suspension)
Front:314 Rear:427

Essentially, you need your shocks to match the spring rate. If you're wanting to do the Z/Coupe combo setup (unrevised), then find a full set of springs/shocks from either an 03/04 Z, Any coupe with 17s or 18s, or a sedan with sport suspension. then you are all set for shocks and 2 of your springs. You just have to find the other 2 springs, depending on which full set you bought.

Alternatively, you could do the same thing with the revised springs on the newer G35 coupe/Z. Buy the full setup from one and then find 2 springs from the other.

Or just do what I did and get the entire setup from a 04.5 or newer z (revised) and call it a day!

also a good option. However, the reason some of us do the Z/Coupe combo is we don't like the back looking like it's sagging.

I have the entire revised suspension from a Z - shocks/struts and springs. Mine doesn't sag. It's still actually raked slightly back to front.

MAN! that was a lot of reading/ and confusion @ sometimes... my eyes are killing me i think i wasted darn near 3 hours at work

i have 03' G35 sedan base 6MT. so in conclusion i'll go with:

the Z/G spring combo='03 or '04 Z front springs/'03 or '04 G coupe base rear springs

if i end up needing shocks/struts i will go with Z or G coupe base shocks/struts

then i will need the shop to correct my camber to the Z spec. not G sedan spec.

Correct?
you can cuss me out if you want, but please answer with a yes or no. i know its repetitive, but someone always messed up the simple answer to this set up question in the previous 21 pages. thankyakindlyverymuchappreciated

^The year of Z doesn't matter on the front springs.
They only changed the rears in 04.5

with the oncreased spring rate of the rears on the revised springs, I would imagine it sits a bit higher. not sure though.

That could be. to me the rake is perfect. I usually am the only one in my car. Weekends the family goes out in mine and the kids go in the back. So I'm sure that levels it out just fine.

I think my Z/Coupe combo is aging a bit. With 90000mi now and a significant amount of track days and rallies, it may be in my head, but I think those springs and my sport shocks are allowing a bit more body roll than the past.

It'll be a while before I have the cash for anything. I'd like to do coilovers next but unsure if I want to spend that much. Also, I don't want to go much, if at all, lower. My chassis brace already scrapes if I don't inch over speed bumps. I may just find a full setup from an 07 or 08 Z.

Exactly my reasoning for going the way I did.

So is that a 'yes' or a 'no?

Dizzle, I believe the answer is 'yes'; align to Z spec. I didn't actually get an alignment, so can anyone who has done so answer definitively?

there is no camber adjustment on the sedan suspension, so unless you install a camber kit, you'll have negative camber out of spec and wear the inside of the tires a bit faster. The positive side of that is a bit better responsiveness and handling.
